As with any parent-child relationship, there are ups and downs along the way to mutual respect and admiration, and The Kite Runner depicts the turbulent road well. After his parents are murdered, he stays in an orphanage in Karteh-Seh. He is the main character in "The Kite Runner. He returns to Afghanistan at the age of thirty-eight and ends up adopting Hassan's orphaned son, Sohrab. Baba dies of terminal cancer in San Francisco shortly after Amir's wedding.

He goes from being an immature child, to an adult that knows what he wants out of life. Because to him, you're nothing but an ugly pet. Baba thinks that a person should have the courage of his conviction to the point of laying down his life for it. It takes a truly remarkable person to be able to forgive. Even though he works for Amir's dad, Amir considers him a brother. Hassan is an excellent kite runner, and is naturally intelligent, but because of his social class as a poor ethnic Hazara, is illiterate and seen as inferior in Afghan society. He starts to realize what life is really all about.
Cowardly and conformist, Kamal helps Assef rape Hassan. Amir also comes to see Sohrab as a substitute for the child he and Soraya cannot have, and as a self-sacrificing father figure to Sohrab, Amir assumes the roles of Baba and Hassan. Amir: "I remember the precise moment, crouching behind a crumbling mud wall, peeking into the alley near the frozen creek. Sohrab-Sohrab is the son of Hassan and his wife, Farzana. He did well in passing his legacy to his son.
Amir is a gifted storyteller and grows from aspiring writer to published novelist. The defining event in his life is his betrayal of his closest friend, Hassan. The guilt that Amir feels far outweighs that of the other characters in the novel, though Baba's guilt comes close as his quest for redemption for his wrongdoings closely resembles that of Amir's. He is ann Afghan man who had a privileged childhood in the Wazir Akbar Khan neighborhood of Kabul. He is the son of Hassan and Farzana. Forgive your father if you can. Physical Characteristics Ali is a kind and loving man.
He even claims Hitler as a role model. Ali is also the first person to learn what happened between Hassan and Amir in the alley. He saves Amir by taking him to a hospital in Pakistan. She returns to Hassan after she has passed her prime with the dancers. And that, I believe, is what true redemption is, Amir jan, when guilt leads to good. A very kind and loving lady, she helps Amir to have a different view of the world around him; that is, to treat near and dear ones with care and love. Character 10 A rough and tough taxi driver, Farid befriends Amir and helps him. General Taheri is proud to the point of arrogance at times, and he places great value on upholding Afghan traditions.
I saw how you suffered and yearned for his affections, and my heart bled for you. Ali is a Hazara whom Baba's father took in when his parents were killed. He keeps Sohrab as a sex slave until Amir comes to rescue him. Ali serves as an excellent example as to the type of man Hassan should become. She loved to write, so Amir loved reading all of her literature. He then becomes a focus of the Character 6 Assef A neighboring bully from a German mother and Afghan father, Assef is the Character 7 Soraya Daughter of a former Afghan general, Taheri, Soraya is a loyal wife for Amir.
Assef-Assef is a very mean man and does horrible things to Hassan and Sohrab. Sometimes, I think everything he did, feeding the poor on the streets, building the orphanage, giving money to friends in need, it was all his way of redeeming himself. This is one of the ethnic groups in Afghanistan, that because of their religious beliefs, are a persecuted minority. You have been in my prayers since the day you left. Amir jan, I know how hard your father was on you when you were growing up. Soraya is steady, intelligent, and always there for Amir when he needs her. Then he is a sex slave to Assef until Amir rescues him.
