As the newly elected class secretary, I am honored to have been given the opportunity to serve my classmates and contribute to the success of our class.
As class secretary, my primary role is to serve as a liaison between the class and the school administration, faculty, and student government. This means that I will be responsible for communicating important information and updates to the class, as well as gathering feedback and suggestions from my classmates and bringing them to the attention of the appropriate parties.
One of my main goals as class secretary is to ensure that the needs and concerns of my classmates are heard and addressed. To do this, I plan on holding regular class meetings and town halls, where students can voice their thoughts and ideas. I also plan on establishing a system for collecting and tracking feedback and suggestions, so that I can more effectively advocate for my classmates.
In addition to my role as a communicator and advocate, I also plan on helping to organize and plan events and activities for our class. This could include fundraisers, social events, or academic initiatives. By working with my classmates and the rest of the student government, I hope to create a sense of community and engagement within our class.
Overall, I am excited to serve as the class secretary and to work with my classmates to make our class the best it can be. Thank you for entrusting me with this important role, and I look forward to the year ahead. In college when I was pursuing an Animal Science degree I never really liked the related classes I took, but without knowing it I was always drawn to the speech and writing classes. A big part of student council is to stand tall and lead the right way and I love being a leader and helping others.
As a Second Class Petty Officer of the Navy and a Collateral Duty Inspector for multiple work centers I have a responsibility to my shipmates, my command and my Navy. In this manner, I will give my best to be an exemplary delegate of our Board of Directors and our association. It was definitely a day to remember. I am running for Secretary of the Student Council. Of course, I do try not to be pompous or arrogant about it- I just take advantage of the fact that we are supposed to live in a fair democracy which allows each of us to have an opinion. There is neither money nor fame in swimming, just the strongest internal motivation that pushes me to be the best I can be. I am reliable, trustworthy and hard working. Becoming a member of the SGA means taking a position of service; this means that everyone I serve is held of the highest importance.
