Everyonce awhile I come across a book that I can't bear to give away. The book has a resonance and heart that will gratify the knowledgeable and naive alike and that also invites reading aloud. The main crux of his work was in encouraging crops that actually nourished the land such as peanuts, cowpeas, and potatoes. The junior choir was going to be singing at Primitive Baptist over in Notasulga, and we were meeting early topractice. What I didn't expect, is how much Nelson's poetry and Carver's life would inspire me.
