A self-aggrandizing, vanity biopic? They got it, they realized it was safe. Ultimately, the question is raised if the kids are being helped. This could actually do a lot. She was the same age as the modern-day 1st grader, and yet, she could talk to him like he was a good friend. I hope the answer is positive. Not only are the Kelvey sisters disliked by their classmates, but even their teacher has a special way of talking to them, different from how she speaks to the other kids. The resulting photographs, often astonishing, were exhibited around the world; many of them are seen in this film, which won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2005.

It is well constructed and fascinating. Just because it would be a torturous project to make this film? She invited Kauffman to help her document the results. But not, not at all in the footage. Perhaps all of the above. Kauffman: There are certain scenes that we disagreed on. I just could not relate myself to them, and understand how they would feel because I have never experienced nor seen it in real life of these situations and I bet it would be much painful than how I imagine their lives would be. Knowing how normal it is for some countries to have young girls starting from age nine years old to start prostitution is sickening and terrifying.
