I remember this feeling, from when I was that age and from when I was in fifth grade, but nothing really happened. Anderson expressed apprehension about the process saying, "there's no movie, if we don't find the perfect kids". Suzy strikes a chord with me by taking those essentials with her while running away from home. It is a fun and awkward scene that reminded be like something from a Godard film, how he will have his characters dance for a bit in the middle of his movies. We've been talking about doing a Moonrise Kingdom shoot for a really long time now, but our blogging schedule never seemed to have a gap.

The whole scene is the most beautiful I have ever seen in a film before, and its message that childhood is something that disappears from everywhere except our memory is bittersweet but touching. The first connection between Sam and Suzy is that they are misunderstood.
