Patikul is a Filipino action film released in 2011. The film tells the story of Saway, a young man living in the Southern Philippine region of Mindanao. Joel Lamangan's independent film Patikul, one of the entries in this year's Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival, has garnered mixed reviews from critics and casual viewers. I think the production is concerned with young viewers that is why they made it that way, and I deemed it to be more appropriate. He knew that something was wrong with his son but because he was illiterate, he could not read the letter he found in their doorstep. Benjamin avoids it due to the fear war against Great Britain. The prize they got, which was a product of hard work and persistence on the part of Balmes, was the delivery of the new books Balmes requested from the Department of Education.

Two of Kan-Ague's best students are chosen to compete in the region's quiz bee. The actors, however, are only acting out what the screenplay tells them to act out. Amman went to the school, empty and bare. This film showed me how important education is. However, Amman, a 33 year old coffee farmer in Sitio Kan-Ague, continues to believe that there is still hope for their town. We have computers, updated books and school facilities, well-ventilated rooms, enough teachers to teach, and a supportive learning environment that is safe. Patikul will be screened at UP Diliman Cine Adarna on August 4, 2011 at 8 pm. Patikul mirrors some social and political problems occurring in remote parts of this country. They hope that education will give the younger generation better opportunities in life than they had. There will always be a solution to every problem. How it was resolved is something one needs to find out for her or himself.
