They should have love and understanding, trust and respect for each other. In today's time majority of people take their life and time on Earth for granted. My recommendation is to skip this one, unless this is the type of novel you usually go for. Yes, there is a fair amount of violence, some allusions to sex, but mostly this is a terrific home cooked meal. Another male author who doesn't have a clue how to write women so he reverts to his own coarse wet-dream material with lesbian overtones and gutter mentality. I loved that its a novel of women in what is traditionally a man's world, and women with spunk, fight and vulnerability - often we get one at the expense of the other. After a mildly quiet short chapter or two, this puppy flips into hyper gear. While well written, the use of far too much back story ruins the pace and bogs it down to no end. That is why it is advised to be careful before making a friend. The plot is brilliant, the dialogue is outstanding and there are so many great scenes, none more so than the final one which I loved.
