Bad Girls Don't Die is a young adult horror novel written by Katie Alender and published in 2009. It is the second book in the Bad Girls Don't Die series, which follows the story of Alexis, a teenage girl who is struggling to come to terms with the strange occurrences happening in her town and her own family.
In the second book, Alexis is still trying to uncover the truth about what is happening in her town. She is dealing with the aftermath of the events of the first book and trying to figure out how to stop the spirits that are haunting her. The spirits seem to be getting stronger and more dangerous, and Alexis is not sure how to protect herself and her loved ones.
As she investigates, Alexis discovers that there may be a connection between the spirits and her own family. She uncovers secrets about her ancestors and realizes that the spirits may be tied to them in some way. This realization only adds to the confusion and fear that Alexis is already feeling.
Throughout the book, Alexis grapples with the idea of good and evil and what it means to be a "bad girl." She is torn between wanting to do what is right and trying to protect those she loves, even if it means going against the rules or doing things that may be considered "bad."
As the book comes to a close, Alexis is faced with a final, terrifying confrontation with the spirits. She must use all of her strength and determination to defeat them and find a way to banish them from her town forever.
Overall, Bad Girls Don't Die Book 2 is a thrilling and suspenseful read that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. It is a compelling exploration of the blurred lines between good and evil and the power of love and family.

Speak Journal Response To Speak By Laurie Halse Anderson 1218 Words 5 Pages She tries to navigate through her first year of high school, and it seems like the entire student body despises her; she feels more alone than ever. Nonetheless it is quite well written, and the main character Alexis is a spunky outcast without being totally s Alright, so, while I did post an update saying that I was impressed with the writing and characterization, I realise that I am not 14, therefore I am not the target audience for this book, and I don't need to be reading it. I liked how it didn't play into the typical YA trope of insta-love, instead focusing on female friendship, and the bonds between sisters, and mothers and daughters. But such a refreshing take of an age old haunting story. She plans on staying just a few weeks but ends up stay a total of 18 months were she meets many of other mental ill patients and is later diagnosis with Borderline Personality Disorder.
It had amazing very likable characters and some I was actually surprised that I ended up liking by the end of it. Except I don't have a sister possessed by a creepy dead girl doll ghost thing. So they were given to god-knows-who and never seen again. I will be reading it's sequel Extra sidenote: This is the first e-book I've read and I gotta say I liked the convenience, but I really missed the feel of a book in my hands. The few friends she does have in the beginning she is basically using so she's not completely alone, and she judges everyone else around her without knowing them at all. Bad Girls Don't Die (Bad Girls Don't Die, #1) by Katie Alender
It was way creepy than the first book I read by this author and definitely had me thinking about it for a few days after reading it but I still loved every minute of it. In the opening chapter Alexis is taking pictures of her old, huge house at 3 in the night. Then, as time went on, she started to hang out with her, but still kept her distance. It's strange, though, to see how fast the girls in The Sunshine Club go from dorky and antisocial to gorgeous and popular. The popular reality T. Dear God, this girl scared the crap out of me.

Finished it in about 3 hours. Club member Alexis is carried away by desires, prompting the unsworn member Kasey to rescue her. In the opening chapter Alexis is taking pictures of her old, huge house at 3 in the night. Worried that Kasey's in over her head again, Alexis and her best friend Megan decide to investigate by joining the club themselves. It was spooky, it had possession and a good vengeful spirit background. For a rebellious teen Alexis is likable and Kasey, in spite of being possessed by the ghost 90% of the time, is quite cute.
In creating this imagery the reader is able to understand that all the positive and upbeat words are associated with the farm setting. Events spiral rapidly out of control, as midnight wanderings progress to thievery and even attempted murder. Kasey is acting stranger than ever: her blue eyes go green sometimes; she uses old-fashioned language; and she even loses track of chunks of time, claiming to know nothing about her strange behavior. And I love her. The MC was a little much for me though.
This is the first occurrence of something unusual that Alexis notices. The title oddly fits and it's not the reason you would suspect. Just probably don't read it in the dark alone like I did. As expected, we have t The best definition of this book is Creepy. But you must be wandering who the hell was that dashing little boy with such great taste for toys and what the hell did his story have to do with Bad Girls Don't Die. Soon Alexis learns that the girls have pledged an oath to a seemingly benevolent spirit named Aralt. She already has everything she needs--an adorable boyfriend, the perfect best friend, and a little sister who's finally recovering after being possessed by an evil spirit, then institutionalized.

When Alexis witnesses Kaycee's eyes change color right in front of her, she realizes there's something more sinister happening, and she needs help to figure out how to stop it before it's too late. It was a very easy read and the perfect mix of slow and fast paced. I will happily reread this book someday, however, since it was some of the most fun I've had with horror books in a loooong while and I really liked the writing, the characters and the plot. Come play with us. Dysfunctional like her parents' marriage; her doll-crazy twelve-year-old sister, Kasey; and even her own anti-social, anti-cheerleader attitude.

So here I was, just anticipating something horrific about to happen, and bam, there goes a funny little surprise. Incidentally, Jared used to have a soul mate called Laina who died after a hiking accident. Water boils on the unlit stove, and an unplugged air conditioner turns the house cold enough to see their breath in.
I'll stop here because I could gush about this book all day long and not make my point across, so I'll just say that if you like YA's, or if you just like horror or even if you just like awesome main characters that act like real people, THEN YOU OWE IT TO YOURSELF TO READ THIS BOOK RIGHT HERE.
