Alexander Oliver Stone is an American filmmaker, writer, and actor known for his controversial and thought-provoking films. He was born in New York City on September 15, 1946, and grew up in a middle-class family in the suburbs of New York.

What really struck me at the time was how intelligent Stone shot the battle scenes. Ironically the original Synopsis of the film makes the clear distinction between Macedonians and Greeks. In the movie, Alexander marries an Iranian woman, Roxanna, played by Rosario Dawson, who is black. It is an epic that follows in the tradition of the astonishing Cinemascope and Vista Vision movies of the 195os and 60s such as Ben-Hur, Quo Vadis or The Ten Commandments. I admit that I was swayed by a heated letter sent to many critics, evidently from an indignant Macedonian. It will now take place on Friday 9 December at the Regent Street Cinema 307 Regent St. Oliver Stone: Less Crazy After All These Years. The point seems to be that Alexander knew no boundariesâthat his sexuality was as fluid as his notion of geographical borders.
