Charles Manson is a name that has become synonymous with evil and violence. Born Charles Milles Maddox in 1934, Manson was a convicted murderer and cult leader who gained infamy for the gruesome murders of actress Sharon Tate and six others in 1969.

Manson's early life was marked by a series of traumatic experiences and criminal behavior. He was abandoned by his mother at a young age and spent much of his childhood in and out of reform schools and juvenile detention centers. As an adult, he spent much of his time in and out of prison for various crimes, including theft and pimping.

Despite his troubled past, Manson was able to attract a group of followers, many of whom were young, disaffected women. He preached a philosophy of revolution and racial apocalypse, and convinced his followers that he was a messiah figure who could guide them through the chaos that he believed was coming.

In the summer of 1969, Manson and several of his followers committed a series of brutal murders in the Los Angeles area, in what came to be known as the Tate-LaBianca murders. The killings, which were carried out over the course of two nights, were particularly gruesome and shocked the nation.

Manson and several of his followers were eventually arrested and put on trial for the murders. Despite his efforts to deflect responsibility and place the blame on his followers, Manson was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.

Throughout his time in prison, Manson has continued to attract a devoted following, with many people claiming to be his supporters and even his "family." However, his legacy will forever be marked by the horrific crimes he committed and the lives he destroyed.
