If I could meet anyone, I would like to meet Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi was a leader in the Indian independence movement and is remembered for his philosophy of nonviolence and civil disobedience. I admire Gandhi for his commitment to social justice and his ability to bring about change through peaceful means.
Gandhi's philosophy of nonviolence, known as ahimsa, is something that I believe is crucial in today's world. There are so many conflicts and disputes that could be resolved peacefully if we were willing to listen to and understand one another. Gandhi showed us that it is possible to stand up for what you believe in and make a difference without resorting to violence.
I would also like to meet Gandhi because of his dedication to social justice. He fought for the rights of the poor and marginalized in India, and was instrumental in leading the country to independence. Gandhi believed in the power of individual action to bring about change, and he encouraged people to take responsibility for their own lives and the world around them.
Meeting Gandhi would be an incredible opportunity to learn from someone who has inspired so many people around the world. I believe that his message of nonviolence and social justice is more relevant than ever, and I would be honored to have the chance to speak with him and learn from his wisdom and experience.
I would like you to meet someone
She has a supportive group of girlfriends, including, -sigh- the obligatory gay bff, and there are several scenes involving cocktails, something called a "hen do" which I guess is a bachelorette party in Brit-speak , and, of course, a wedding. Evie agrees and proceeds to copy the oh-so-quirky and oh-so-coincidental meet-cutes from various famous rom-coms, with disastrous results. Varied amount of emotions. She always thought of herself as lucky. All opinions are my own. .
Little did she know she would try out all the magical romcom moments of her favorite movies just to inspire a writer she despises. I want them to fail spectacularly if only so they'll dump the karmic load they're carrying for being such awful people. Also, if I never hear the term 'meet cute' again it will be too soon. And Ezra listening and reading Evies stories, Ben always being there every Sunday. The premise was ok. Some of it, both dialogue and situations, were great.
I would like to meet you or I would like to meet with you ?
Evie has been an assistant for far too long. So, this was actually really enjoyable! However, the plot was quite predictable to me in terms of both the plot and the love interest, and I felt that all of the drama did overshadow the romance part of this. . I don't want her to succeed at helping them. I'm glad to meet you.
I finally liked a romance again after what feels like a never-ending post- 1 2 it was written by a U. . From the gay best friend to the group of girls as support and even the single hot dad which isn't to say that I didn't love Annette. Let the fun ensue. After seven years as an assistant, 29-year-old Evie Summer In this charming, feel-good debut novel, a cynical assistant at a screenwriting agency must reenact the meet-cute scenes from classic romantic comedy movies in order to help her 1 client get his scriptwriting mojo back--but can a real-life meet-cute be in store for someone who doesn't believe in happily ever after? Ezra is a butthole who is obviously a butthole from the start.
I would like to meet you or I would like to meeting you?
So, she attempts to fall in love through various meet cute situations. I'd definitely watch it. But we met in school. I did however have a problem with Anette's age. Thank you to Edelweiss and G. Will Ezra finish the script on time? She is a bad friend, a total doormat, and a straight-up fool. If you're looking for a funny, light and really entertaining read though, and are a fan of Sophie Kinsella type chick-lit, then you should definitely read this! Evie's group of friends is more developed than a lot of the cast of friends I've read about historically.
This was a definite 3 star read for me, because although it was hilarious, and I enjoyed it, it just didn't have that extra something that I needed. Will one of these crazy meet cutes actually work? It gets even more meta once you get to the end of the story. Also, if I never hear the term 'meet cute' again it will be too soon. If romantic comedies happen to be one of your favourite genres, you are bound to recognize the familiar tropes and the usual cast a group of best friends including a gay BFF, an adorable widower with an unusually bright child, an incompetent boss, a grumpy client with impossible demands, two love interests to keep you watching or rather reading in this case until the very end, and a heroine who needs to remember her dre A thoroughly enjoyable rom-com about. This romcom is pretty meta in the best possible way.
All of which is to say: Monty is a butthead. Kept my interest but. Can Evie meet the man of her dreams, convince a screenwriter to write that movie already, save her job and save her dignity? Research for her job as the assistant of an agent, you could say. I think if the first half of the book had as much pace as the second half it would have got higher stars. Saying that, I did really feel for Sarah, I mean Evie certainly made an impact on her friend's hen do and wedding.
Either by the help of her best friends who are by the way so funny and crazy, I love them or by herself. It's been a while since I read a romance that told me it would be a total laff-riot note: not the actual words and ACTUALLY DELIVERED. Sometimes you can only get where you need to go by taking small steps. McGraw-Hill Dictionary of American Idioms and Phrasal Verbs. It had every romcom cliché in, and plenty of OMG moments! Evie Summers is one of them at least for me! Will Evie finally get her long due promotion? The someone can be a person's name, the name of a relationship, or the word someone.
One star for me, but again, I'm a complete outlier. But what starts as a crazy idea becomes one hell of adventure full of funny moments, romantic gestures and a little bit of tension. If she fails to get NOB past his writer's block, then the agency will go under, and she will lose her job. Cute, and Entertaining to Boot. Each of them have their own personalities, and they call Evie out when she acts irresponsibly something that will appeal to readers frustrated with authors like Sophie Kinsella, whose heroines act in super psychologically dysfunctional ways and are never called out on it in earnest. So here I go again on my quest to seemingly read every romance with this new quirky type of cover lol! Every single character in this book is a butt. Her boss is a pathetic, arrogant lump and their prize client is an arrogant jackwagon.
