As we gather together to mark this important occasion, let us take a moment to reflect on the significance of this day. Today, we celebrate the day that our great nation, the United States of America, declared its independence from British rule and became a sovereign nation. It is a day to honor the brave men and women who fought and sacrificed so much to secure our freedom and independence.
