As a child care provider, it is important to support the physical and intellectual development of the children in my care. This includes providing opportunities for them to explore, learn, and grow through hands-on experiences and activities.
To advance physical competence, I make sure to provide a safe and age-appropriate environment for the children to play and move in. This includes having enough space for them to run, jump, and climb, as well as providing age-appropriate toys and equipment for them to use. I also encourage outdoor play and provide opportunities for the children to participate in physical activities, such as sports, games, and dance.
In addition to promoting physical development, it is also important to support the intellectual growth of the children in my care. To do this, I provide a variety of materials and resources for the children to explore and learn from, such as books, puzzles, and art materials. I also encourage the children to ask questions and engage in activities that encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
I also make sure to individualize the learning experiences for each child, taking into account their unique interests and abilities. This may involve working with the children one-on-one or in small groups, or adapting activities to better suit their needs.

In order to allow for more instruction time for achievement standards to be met, more time was spent in the classroom resulting in something having to be cut out of the school day.
